Satire

Satire is way to make people laugh, although when certain jokes are taken to far they are found "crossing the line" but yeah everyone laughs at something funny so there will always be people who are disagreeing with a joke. I believe that satire is made for both good and bad reasons. Satire is simply to get a reaction out of an audience whether it's good or bad but there is a thin line when satire is using racism and discrimination..

Political Satire Cartoon

This satire cartoon is showing President Obama and Oprah at a press rally and everyone is convinced to vote for Oprah because the two girls in the audience are convinced and they say to one and other "she is so influential she has me convinced" and her friend says "Me too that's why I'm voting for Oprah and President Obama is holding up Oprah's arm for supporting her and having people cheer for her and it's showing that Oprah convinces you to do anything she says or does because she's Oprah.

This satire cartoon is showing that people are non- believing that global warming is happening and when everything is melting around them but they think that nothing is wrong and everything is okay until you see a newspaper title saying Alaska's glaciers are melting fast.

This political satire cartoon is disagreeing with John McCain at a press conference and the audience is not agreeing to what he said a few years ago, but they think it's fine if President Obama moves the troops into Afghanistan and agrees to anything he does.

Sarah Palin is a leader in her state and our country, but SNL is making fun of her.  Not only are they making fun of her politics, but they also make fun of her age, children, and parenting skills.  This is crossing the line and is very hurtful to not only Sarah P. but also those around her.
